Indonesia Ratawali Valley Honey

Ratawali Valley

Indonesia, an island archipelago that's made up of more than 17,000 volcanic islands thanks to being situated on the infamous "Ring of Fire'. This gives Indonesia the perfect fertile soil to grow coffee.

Brought over by the Dutch during the early 19th century, Indonesia now has become one of the big names in the coffee producing world.

The coffee is grown in the northern part of Sumatra, Gayo referring to the ethnic group that produces coffee. Every coffee is hand-picked before it is sent to the pulper to separate the beans and pulp.
The drying process is where the flavours develop over the 15-20 days of being dried on a raised drying bed.
