Kenya Kagunyu Natural is a vibrant representation of Nyeri’s terroir, where altitude, soil, and climate come together to produce coffees of exceptional clarity and brightness.
Grown by smallholder farmers contributing to the Rumukia Farmers’ Cooperative Society, the cherries are naturally processed at the Kagunyu Factory, sun-dried on raised beds to develop concentrated fruit sweetness.
Sitting at elevations of 1740 to 1850 MASL, the slower maturation of the cherries enhances complexity. In the cup, this coffee delivers sparkling acidity and tropical sweetness—bright citrus upfront, mellowing into notes of ripe pineapple and mixed forest berries.
This is a lively and expressive cup with layers of fruit, making it a dynamic option for those who enjoy Kenya’s signature intensity with a natural-process twist.
