Bale Mountain is a fairly new private farm that sits at 1900-200masl. Currently, they're harvesting from about 100 hectares of the coffee tree while more trees are being planted.
The farm grows a mixture of local varieties and native forest varieties that are identified as Ethiopian Heirloom.
Harvesting is done by the family members where they are hand-sorted to remove the unripe and overripe cherries. The harvest is then sorted again during the soaking and drying process to ensures only the best coffee is sent out.
We do a consistent weekly roast to ensure we can provide you with the freshest coffee. In addition to that, we are committed to provide coffee that are within 14 days of the roast date.
